God sent Clayton into our lives
One beautiful Sunday in May
And now my memories go back
To how we would laugh and play

Thoughout his life of eighteen years,
He touched so many, including his peers

In every person he ever met, he always found some good
And was always willing to share his love with everyone who would
Although he was sick twenty-nine months long
His belief in God and faith remained strong

God's grace is sufficient, he would always remember
And God healed in perfection on the nineteenth of September
God has taken our precious gift that we never can replace
But left the Holy Comforter to help run this lonely race

I thank God for the years we had
And someday we will join him and no longer be sad
