One Day the Stork Will Come
As a child i believedThat one day i'd have a child of my own, and he
Would look just like i did when
I was a child of eight or ten.
As i grew i watched my freinds
Become young mothers before they should.
And i looked at life and told myself
"You've got plenty of time to think of that,
Let's just have fun
while i'm young".
So i wandered through my simple life,
I met a man, soon i'll be his wife.
But just last year I lost my chance,
Lost my choice, lost my mind.
The news that i could not concieve
Has hurt my man, has destroyed me.
But i cannot let the others know
just what it's done, i must lay low
And hide my tears behind this screen,
so that noone can hear my heart as it screams.
I'll never know the joy of birth
Of creating a baby, and giving it life.
But i hope one day a stork will come
And bring me a child.
I just want one.
