My daughter awakens in the morning.
She is welcomed to the new day...
By arms
That are not mine.

My daughter cries from hunger.
She is fed & nourished...
By hands
That are not mine.

My daughter is tired.
She is layed down for her nap...
By hands
That are not mine.

My daughter is wet.
She is changed or placed over a potty...
By hands
That are not mine.

My daughter is laughing.
She is amused by a toy that is held...
By hands
That are not mine.

My daughter cries & then feels loved.
She is held & comforted...
By arms
That are not mine.

I miss & long for my daughter.
I am so unspeakably thankful
For arms... & hands...
That are not mine.

I placed my Daughter for adoption 50 years ago. She found me two years ago. I have five other children and this month we all (her biological family) celebrate her fiftieth birthday together. I am overjoyed, and yes beyond my expectations. I applaud her adoptive family and thank God for their love, kindness and loving care of her. #1
