My Baby's starting school this year,
I smile, holding back my tears
Tears of love and tears of pride;
My heart is filled with love inside.


The years with you have gone so fast,
I can't believe four years have passed
The time sped by in such a whirl,
My baby's now a little girl.

Your baby face has gone away,
It feels like only yesterday
I watch with wonder as you grow,
It's hard to see my baby go.

It's time for school; we're on our way,
So many things I need to say-
You're so brave, you show no fear,
I wave good-bye, brushing away my tears.
