How Many Bridges Must We Cross?

How many bridges must we cross,
only to find out that we are still lost.
Searching the eyes of people that we don't know, wondering how in the world could they have left us alone so long ago.
Most of the questions I hear are the same,
and it seems like the reasons are pretty much all the same.
I could not afford you me being alone,
thank God for adoptions and two parent homes.
I understand the reasons they are so clear,
but what about our medical history and things that we hold dear.
Do we not stand a chance when we try to recieve the information on our lives that
the states try to hide.
How many bridges must we struggle across,
only to find out that we will still be lost.
