When I was just a little tyke,
too small to even ride a trike
My daddy ran away
He left his daughter, son and wife
to start a differrent way of life
Why did he have to stray?

Mpmma must have been half-crazed
left alone--two kids to raise
And not sure where to start
I guess she thaught it would be best
if with new parents we were blessed
So the family was torn apart

Though all these years I didn't know
Momma cared enough to let me go
To give me the life she'd planned
Although you cannot hear my voice
God Bless You for that difficult choice
I love you--and understand
